Chris Casart has been an accomplished percussionist for over 28 years. At age 12, Chris began playing big band jazz with the Fred Lease band in South Omaha. From there, he participated in drum and bugle corps in high school and was percussion major at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Chris has been teaching for over 15 years and has been a band director in the Bellevue Public Schools district for most of that time. Chris has been married to his wife, Teresa for 14 years and they have three children. With all of his percussion experience, Chris is especially excited to be involved in a first class musical project like Higher Pursuit because of the quality of the music and the inspiration it brings.
